We have two mission programs currently going at the BSU. Every spring break, or right after the school year ends, we send out students to do mission work for a week. We mix evangelism with missions. Generally we leave the Saturday after classes let out for Spring Break. We attend church that Sunday, work Monday thru Wednesday, take Thursday as a fun day where we can explore and relax, and then either work or come home Friday, depneding on how far we are from home. If we work Friday, then we come home on Saturday. You always have Sunday then to rest before school starts back.

In the summer we also send students out to do mission work. The summer missions program is through the North Carolina Baptist State Convention. Opportunities are available in both home and international missions. Nearly every position available provides lodging, food, transportation, and even a small stipend for a summer’s work.
